INFORMACIÓN IMPORTANTE

Are oats gluten-free?Avenin is a protein present in oats and is a form of gluten, so oats are not technically gluten free. Those who suffer from Celiac disease will not be able to enjoy oat-based products. However, many people who are gluten intolerant do not have a problem with Avenin. You will need to experiment with oat products or check with your doctor to determine whether you can tolerate Avenin.

How are organic oats produced?Organic agriculture is the practice of producing food, for human and/or animal consumption by replacing most synthetic pesticides and fertilizers with products that are permissible under the USDA guidelines for organic production and/or independent organic certification agencies. For example, glyphosate and anhydrous ammonia are replaced with biological pest control and manure composts respectively. Smile Foods oat products use exclusively organic oats.
